What's This?

Motorola is almost ready to announce the Moto G, with the reveal event scheduled for November 13 in São Paulo, Brazil. There is still a bit of mystery behind the unannounced device, but most believe it is a cheaper international version of the Moto X.

A new leak on the Moto G gives more reason to believe it is a cheaper version of the Moto X that is also internationally available, as the leak comes from the Amazon UK website, where the Moto G was on offer for £160 off contract.

This is a really impressive price for a Motorola device, but the specs are less impressive than the Moto X. The Moto G will come with a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of inbuilt storage, 4.5-inch 720p display and 5MP rear camera.

One of the most impressive features could be the software on the Moto G, expected to be Android KitKat 4.4. Google wants to show how the new update can run on as little as 512MB of RAM and the Moto G would be a near to perfect example.

It is a little odd the Moto G will be coming with the latest version of Android when we have no news from Motorola on the Moto X getting this update. Since the release of the smartphone Motorola has been looking to add different features onto the smartphone without working with carriers, including the modified camera app.

Motorola is obviously looking to make this a worldwide seller, the polar opposite of the Moto X that is only available in the US, Canada and Latin America. The Moto G will not be made in Motorola’s factory in Fort Worth, Texas.

GadgetsBoy will be at the Launch event in London on Wednesday the 13th, so keep up to date with the release by following us on Twitter @gadgetsboy.
