LG has been turning up the hype for their third flagship smartphone on Android, as they prepare to announce it on May 28. In order to make sure everyone knows the specs pre-launch, LG has uploaded three new short videos showing off some of the features.
The LG G3 videos appear to be for the Korean launch of the smartphone. The rear camera will feature a laser assisted focusing system and will most likely come with a 13MP sensor and dual-LED flash.
In the second video, we got a glimpse at the QHD display, 2560 x 1440. This will be a big advantage for the LG G3 against the Samsung Galaxy S5 and HTC One M8, both have last generation 1080p displays.
The third video shows us the design of the LG G3, once again we are faced with a question, will it actually be metal or faux metal with a brushed texture? We are still unsure, although most leaks say LG is looking for an all-metal design.
In other leaks, @evleaks has shown off a “lunchboxed” T-Mobile developer edition of the LG G3. The Lunchbox version has been disguised in a shell, to make sure people can’t figure out the design, even though LG is showing it off freely before release.
Surprisingly, the leak claims a microSD slot and 3000mAh removable battery will be on the LG G3. The removable battery part points to a plastic design, normally metal phones are built in unibody to ensure a stronger build.
The LG G3 will be announced next week, we are excited to see what the South Korean company has in store for this year. The design seems to be perfect if we get metal and not faux metal, but the software still needs some work, the LG G2 and G 2 Pro both come with excessive bloatware.
