The new Apple iPad is here in form of a Pro version, with all the Pro specs a tablet device can have. It’s Apple’s biggest tablet device yet, coming in at a whopping 12.9-inch, it’s 6.9mm thin and weighs 710g. Under that huge display is Apple’s new 64-bit A9X processor which offers double the graphics speed, storage read and write speed and it’s 1.8 times faster than the iPad Air 2.
With a 2732 x 2048 resolution screen, it has a whopping 5.6 million pixels, which is more than that of the 15-inch MacBook Pro with Retina.
Other specifications includes:
To make it fully “Pro” grade, Apple has also introduced their new Smart Keyboard, a dedicated physical iPad Pro keyboard that features Smart Connector for power and data via magnetic connection. It is intelligent enough to know when it’s connected, allowing the keyboard to switch from on-screen to the physical one.
There’s also the new Apple Pencil, which is essentially a stylus. It has sensors built in for more accuracy when recognising force, tilt and position and you can charge the pencil via the iPad Pro by plugging directly into the iPad Pro via Lightning port.
Pricing and availability:
Pricing is 32GB at $799, 128GB at $959 and 128GB plus LTE for $1,079. Apple Pencil will be $99 and the Smart Keyboard will cost $169. They are expected in stores in November.

It is good to see Apple targeting the power user with the iPad pro. I’ve got a feeling this one will do well despite its size!
