In previous iOS and Operating Systems in general, I’ve rarely touched accessibility options. But in iOS 5 there are two that are pretty cool. One is the ability to have your LED Flash whenever you get an Alert. The other is ability to set custom vibrations for each contact, so you know that when your phone vibrates YYZ that it is clearly Geddy sending you a text. Sadly these options are only available on the iPhone.
To access the Accessibility Options go to Settings -> General -> Accessibility.  Scroll down and you will see the option LED Flash for Alerts  and toggle it to ON. Then whenever you get a call or text you’ll be able to have your very own rave.
The arguably cooler of the two options is the Custom Vibrations. You enable them right above LED Flash for Alerts.
From there go into your Contacts and touch one of your contacts. Touch edit in the top right, and scroll down to vibration and touch it.
Scroll down to Custom and touch Create New Vibration (or choose one of the built in ones if you’re feeling uninspired) and then start jamming out on the screen.
When you’re done you can press Stop and then Play to hear your killer beat. If you need a second take press Record.
When you’re done press Save and give your New Vibration a name.  Then touch done until you’re back at your contact list. You can then access that custom vibration for any of your other contacts, or create new ones if you want.
