What's This?

There’s never a boring moment in tech, and while there are occasional lulls every now and then the entire year is filled with pretty awesome gadgets and gizmos. As such, it’s been quite a headline-filled week as different names in the industry each revealed the latest additions to their hardware lineups, and as a result we’ve put this compilation of headlines that you might find interesting, especially since big brands such as OnePlus, Xbox, and Motorola are involved – let’s check it out!

Play your Xbox Games on Fire TV

Microsoft recently announced that it was expanding its Xbox Game Pass Ultimate service for Amazon Fire TV streaming devices starting in July. This is a significant move as it offers a very affordable way to access Xbox’s library of games including AAA titles on a non-console device. Players just need the Xbox app, a compatible controller and their Microsoft account to start playing in over 25 countries, making Xbox Game Pass Ultimate more accessible than ever before.

The OnePlus Ace 3 Pro Launches in China

We also saw the China-exclusive launch of the OnePlus Ace 3 Pro, which is probably one of the best-looking midrange phones we’ve seen this year. It comes with a design that’s similar to the regular OnePlus 12, packs a bright LTPO AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, and a long-lasting 6,100 mAh battery with fast-charging capabilities. The camera system is similar to the OnePlus 12, and the phone is overall a great value for the price, priced starting at around $440 (when converted).

The Razr 50 Ultra Aims for the Foldable Throne

Motorola finally unveiled its latest expansion to the Razr phone lineup, the Razr 50 Ultra. The phone boasts the largest ever external display on a Motorola foldable which measures 4 inches with a 1272 x 1080 pixel resolution, a smooth 165Hz refresh rate, as well as a peak brightness of up to 2,400 nits. Meanwhile, the main display measures 6.9 inches with a sharp 1080 x 2640 resolution, and inside the phone you’ll find a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, a more wallet-friendly version of the flagship 8 Gen 3. The Razr 50 Ultra is priced starting at £999.99.

Google Translate Now Supports even More Languages

Google Translate recently underwent what is probably its biggest expansion ever, adding support for 110 new languages with the help of AI technology. This nearly doubles the number of languages it can translate, including languages like Cantonese and Punjabi. While Google says that AI like PaLM 2 is key for this expansion, Google emphasizes that it will continue working with linguists and native speakers to ensure accurate translations across diverse languages and dialects.

The OnePlus Watch 2 Now Packs eSim Support

Closing this recap is another entry from OnePlus – the company also launched an eSIM version of the OnePlus Watch 2 in China, allowing cellular connectivity for calls and data on your wrist. This model keeps the same powerful internals as the original but gets a design refresh with a new strap and rounded buttons. While currently exclusive to China, it’s priced competitively at around $250 and we’re hoping that it comes to other markets soon.
