While Apple still rakes in a lot of the big bucks when it comes to tablet market sales, that’s not to say that Android manufacturers have been sleeping on tablets – in fact, we’ve seen some amazing devices from the likes of Samsung, Xiaomi, and OnePlus for example, a lot of which offer some compelling specs in addition to premium design. With that said, Oppo is likewise banking on its latest Pad 3 series, which includes the Oppo Pad 3 Pro and Pad 3.
In particular, the Oppo Pad 3 makes up the more affordable option from Oppo’s latest tablet offerings. Priced at around 275 EUR, the tablet is considerably more affordable than even Apple’s lowest-end iPad, and it does thankfully feature some worthwhile hardware specifications which might just be enough to lure in potential buyers. Let’s take a look at what it comes with.

In terms of design, the Oppo Pad 3 looks an awful lot like OnePlus’ own tablet line – that’s because both brands tend to borrow hardware and software features from one another. You get the central camera bump on the rear panel, and based on its design the tablet is clearly meant to be handled horizontally. Turn over the tablet on the front and you’ll be greeted by a rather large 11.6-inch IPS display, which also features a 120hz refresh rate, up to 700 nits of brightness, and a resolution of 2000 x 2,800 pixels.
Overall, the Oppo Pad 3’s design isn’t revolutionary – it’s meant to provide users with a familiar sense of usability, and Oppo has played its cards safely here. The tablet’s internals however are a bit more interesting.
Powering the tablet is MediaTek’s recently-announced Dimensity 8350 chipset. A slightly-tweaked variant of the 8300, the 8350 is currently exclusive for the Oppo Pad 3 (and a couple of new Oppo phones), and is built on a 4nm process with an eight-core processor that runs on 3.35GHz Cortex-A715 prime cores. It also features the new “StarSpeed Engine” which according to MediaTek improves on power consumption and overall performance during gaming.
In terms of storage and memory, the Oppo Pad 3 starts with your usual 8GB RAM configuration alongside with 128GB of internal storage, although Oppo does give the option of higher configurations which include up to 12GB of RAM, and 512GB of storage. In addition to the Dimensity 8350 chip, the Oppo Pad 3 also packs a fairly-large 9,520 mAh battery, and there’s also support for 67W charging support.
As this is an Oppo product (despite the OnePlus design influence), the tablet runs on Oppo’s ColorOS 15, a custom version of Android that features exclusive apps and software from Oppo. There are some considerations given that the Oppo Pad 3’s China variant comes with a different set of apps versus global versions, but that’s always been the case with Oppo’s product releases. There are rumors that the tablet might be launched as the OnePlus Pad Go 2 globally, although there’s no word yet from Oppo or OnePlus if this is indeed the case.
