What's This?

If you’re after a premium Android smartphone but are tired of the usual brands like Samsung, Xiaomi, and such, then you might want to check out what Honor has in store – once a sub-brand of Huawei, Honor has made a name for itself with its own line of impressive Android handsets, and this includes its latest Magic 7 series phones.

CHECK OUT: Honor Expands its Midrange Lineup with the Magic 7 Lite

More specifically, we’re talking about the Honor Magic 7 Pro and the Porsche Design Honor Magic 7 RSR. While these two devices share some similarities, there are some nuanced differences especially when it comes to how they look. With that said, let’s take a quick look at each of Honor’s new premium phones.

Honor Magic 7 Pro

First up is the Magic 7 Pro, which is priced at £1,099.99. The phone packs all the basic necessities that you would expect to see on a 2025 flagship phone, including the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, up to 16GB of RAM, a decent-sized 5,270 mAh battery with 100W wired and 80W wireless charging support, in addition to a premium-looking build with reinforced glass all over. As for its display, the Magic 7 Pro comes with a 6.8-inch AMOLED display, a 120Hz refresh rate, 1280 x 2800 pixel resolution, and gets pretty bright at 5,000 nits.

The Honor Magic 7 Pro comes with a trio of cameras on the rear panel, consisting of a 50MP main camera, a periscope telephoto lens with a whopping 200MP resolution sensor, and a 50MP ultrawide camera, with a 50MP front camera for selfies and video calls. As for software, the phone comes with the latest Android 15 with MagicOS on top, giving users access to exclusive Honor apps and features, and even Google’s Gemini AI assistant.

Honor Magic 7 RSR

In addition to the Honor Magic 7 Pro, the company also revealed the Porsche Design Honor Magic 7 RSR. This isn’t the first time that Honor has collaborated with Porsche’s smartphone design team, as we’ve also seen older Porsche-themed Honor phones a while back. Priced at €1,799, it’s undoubtedly a premium-looking smartphone, with a design that’s not seen anywhere else; on the back you’ll find a sleek build that’s accented by angles along the phone’s smooth exterior, as well as a camera module that bears a hexagonal look, yet another aesthetic element not found on other smartphone designs.

It comes in two different colour variants including purple and black, although take a look inside and you’ll find some similarities with its “Pro” sibling, both in terms of hardware and software capabilities – like the Magic 7 Pro, The Magic 7 RSR also features the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, and runs on a 5,850 mAh battery, with support for 80W fast-charging. Camera hardware is a bit similar to the Magic 7 Pro as well, with a setup that includes a 50MP main camera, a 200MP telephoto lens, and a 50MP ultrawide camera. The same can be said for software, which combines Android 15 and Magic OS.

With all that being said, folks looking for a top-tier flagship device with all the right stuff will definitely want to check out Honor’s newest devices.
