During MWC 2025, Tecno unveiled a number of new devices (a lot of which consisted of Android phones) for its upcoming product lineup, although one thing we weren’t expecting was its new laptop, named the Megabook S14. Infinix is no stranger to laptops having a few already up in its roster, although we wouldn’t blame you if you weren’t aware of its laptop lineup. In any case, here’s what you can expect from the Tecno Megabook S14.

With regards to how it looks, the Megabook S14 comes with your standard-looking laptop design, at least from what we’ve seen of most devices within the past few years. Weighing at just around 899 grams, the laptop comes with a metal body, referred to by Tecno as a “premium magnesium alloy.” The laptop’s overall profile features a reasonably-slim build that houses USB-C connection ports, a built-in fingerprint reader, and a 14-inch display with slim bezels.

As for its display, the S14 comes with a 14-inch display that packs an OLED panel, which also features a rather-sharp 2.8K resolution, with a 120Hz refresh rate. It’s a display setup that’s not seen on most laptops, at least not on more affordable models. It’s also ideal for both work and play, especially for users who are after a machine designed for tasks such as content editing and production, but can also double as an on-the-go gaming device.
For software, you can expect the S14 to come pre-loaded with Windows 11, although you’re getting some baked-in AI features with generative functionality onboard. As for what else you’re getting, the Megabook S14 comes with a 50Wh battery with 65W charging via USB-C, up to 512GB storage configuration, and Nvidia hardware for graphics.

As for what’s running inside the Megabook S14, you’ll find Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X Elite chip. A 12-core chip, the X Elite can be setup to run at 3.4GHz with multiple cores, or up to 4.0GHz with just two cores. The X Elite runs alongside an Adreno GPU that is capable of up to 3.8 TFLOPS of performance, as well as a Hexagon NPU can go up to 45 TOPS when running AI functions. Interestingly, Tecno also sells the S14 in an Intel configuration with Core Ultra 5 and 7 series processors.

This is something important to consider especially depending on the software you’re planning to run on the laptop. There’s no doubt that the Snapdragon X Elite is a most capable chip when it comes to battery endurance and general performance, but as an Arm-based chip it might have difficulty running apps and software designed primarily for x86 hardware, in which case you’re going to want to get the Intel version instead.
