ALK Technologies, a leading developer of mobile navigation apps, is pleased to announce a new update for its CoPilot® GPS navigation apps for Android, adding support for a new generation of high resolution Android smartphones such as the Sony Xperia Z, HTC One, Droid DNA and Samsung Galaxy S4.

CoPilot apps, compatible on over 250 Android devices, now include clear driving directions and detailed maps that are fully optimized to provide a truly sensational HD in-car navigation and offline mapping experience.

“We’ve re-engineered our CoPilot apps to keep up with the evolution of the stunning full-HD screens from Sony, Samsung and HTC,” said David Quin, Head of Consumer Applications at ALK Technologies. “CoPilot has been supporting Android since the T-Mobile G1 and we will continue to develop our app to suit the latest and greatest Android smartphones and tablets.”

The CoPilot HD update for Android is available immediately via Google Play. Existing customers can download the update for free.

CoPilot navigation is available for Android, iOS and (from summer 2013) Windows Phone 8.

CoPilot® Live™ Premium is the paid edition of CoPilot, and includes lifetime-use, voice-guided, in-car, GPS navigation with 3D maps and live traffic information as standard.

CoPilot® GPS is the free edition of CoPilot, providing powerful trip planning and offline maps. Voice-guided turn-by-turn navigation is available via in-app purchase.
