Amount of Facebook users in the US and Britain are slowly dropping, but it’s no surprise because people are becoming bored of same process of changing statuses, reading others, posting photos, tagging friends and family. In some countries it has pose as security threats and the amount of advertising and third party apps have become annoying thereby taking away user experience. I remember when I first joined, it was solely for the purpose of easier introduction and networking while I was at university, but now there are businesses and every website I visit including this one, there’s like buttons. Facebook is still fun for those who enjoy posting pictures, checking other people’s pictures, but for some they are happy to deactivate their account like I did few years back. Not only does it ruin relationships, it ruins lives especially when people have been stupid enough to post whereabouts, relationship statuses etc. Twitter on the other hand is slowly rising in numbers in such a short period of time and you now see it on TV adverts, radio hosts and dj uses it, business marketing campaigns, used to monitor what people are saying about a business and even job search, in some extreme cases love finding.
Developing countries are now on the rise in number of users and this is because it’s new to them, and once they get bored of it what will happen to Facebook? twitter is easier and quicker to use with tons of mobile client and it’s yet to reach all the parts of the world. that Facebook has penetrated. Before I forget, remember what happened to social networking site MySpace, Hi5, Bebo and the likes, at least Facebook are innovative enough to develop new ideas like photo-sharing and face detection. I want to hear your thoughts, leave a comment or hit me up on twitter, not Facebook @gadgetsboy
