The LG Optimus G2 is ready to launch, with the event taking place on August 7 in New York City, LG is ready to get the hype train rolling before Samsung can capture the US and most of the world’s attention with their new Galaxy Note.
Some rumours have been rather strange regarding the Optimus G2, including the back buttons allowing the user to have more screen real estate on the front. We did not know the size of the Optimus G2, but a new report by WSJ clears up the display size, at a little-over the average 5.2-inches.
LG will apparently be making the phone extremely thin with their new OGS glass, reducing the number of lines by 30%. LG has been touting the innovation for a while now and we expect it to be on their flagship device and it may come on other smartphones revealed at the NYC event.
We expect the LG Optimus G2 to be packed to the brim with incredible features, including the Snapdragon 800 chip, 3GB of RAM, Android 4.2.2 or possibly Android 4.3 and one of the best displays on the market.
