LG has revealed Quick Window, an accessory for the LG G2, before the actual launch of the smartphone. LG has not been the most secretive with this smartphone, revealing its name and getting most all its specs leaked before the official announcement on August 7.
Quick Window will work like the S-View cover for the Galaxy S4, allowing the user to quickly a few small apps like music player, the time, stop-watch and it will allow the user to answer calls without flipping the cover off.
This is quite unique and we can see LG going for the almost-too-gimmicky features, as Samsung has done with the Galaxy S3 and S4. We wouldn’t be surprised to see a suite of shoddy apps with almost no purpose appear on the LG G2.
The Quick Window accessory will be an optional part of the LG G2, we bet it will retail at around the same price the S-View cover does on the Galaxy S4, with LG trying the “anything you can do” move on Samsung.
LG is preparing to have a huge launch, with over 100 carriers preparing to get the new smartphone before the phone is three months old. LG wants the G2 to be the internationally loved product, to really compete with Samsung on scale.
