What's This?

CES 2024 is finally here, and we can expect a ton of different brands and companies to showcase new tech and hardware. With that being said, Acer recently unveiled its latest in computing and gaming tech for 2024, which includes its new batch of Predator gaming monitors. The new lineup includes four different models and consists of the Predator Z57, Predator X34 V, Predator X39, and Predator X34 X.

The new Predator monitors come with some similar features across the board, such as AMD FreeSync Premium for smooth video rendering during action-packed scenes, as well as USB Type-C 90W PD ports that handle charging, display, and data transfer functions. With that being said though, each of the different monitors come with some unique features, which we’ll take a look at today.

Predator Z57

First up is the rather large 57-inch Predator Z57, which includes a super-sharp 7680×2160 resolution screen, with support for 120 Hz refresh rates. Acer says that the Z57 packs 2304-zone Mini LED technology, as well as a wide 32:9 aspect ratio and 1000R curvature draw that provides more visual real estate when gaming or during productivity sessions. It also features VESA DisplayHDR 1000 certification with up to 1,000 nits of brightness, alongside a wide DCI-P3 98% colour gamut.

For console support, the Z57 comes with two HDMI 2.1 ports and a DisplayPort 1.4 port for online connectivity. Additionally, the monitor also includes a pair of 10W speakers for loud and audible sound quality.

Predator X34 V3

Up next is the Predator X34 V3, which packs a 34-inch curved MiniLED display with a 21:9 ultra-wide, 3440×1440 resolution display, and a 1500R curvature for total immersion that Acer claims also improves peripheral vision for intense gaming sessions. It features a higher refresh rate at 180 Hz, as well as DCI-P3 94% colour gamut and VESA DisplayHDR 1000 certification.

You can also hook up the X34 V3 to compatible devices thanks to a pair of HDMI 2.0 ports and DisplayPort 1.4, and Acer adds that its 5W speakers make it ideal for use with games, music, and movies.

Predator X39 & Predator X34 X

Acer has also included a pair of OLED models consisting of the 39-inch Predator X39 and the 34-inch Predator X34 X, both of which feature a 3440×1440 pixel resolution, and super-smooth refresh rates at 240 Hz and 0.01 ms pixel response time for lag-free gaming sessions. The X39 and X34 X also feature a 800R curvature for added peripheral viewing angles, as well as DCI-P3 99% colour gamut for increased colour support.

Other details include VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400 for better image clarity in dark scenarios, as well as Eyesafe 2.0 certification that reduces eye strain during usage.
