As of recently I have hooked up most things in my studio with my iPhone, if it has an infrared interface or WiFi compatible then it is connected to my iPhone and iPad, it is just so convenient to have it in one place.  My studio/office lighting is controlled using my iPhone via infrared, however sometimes it is not always responsive meaning I have to press it a few times or hold my arm just at the spot where it seems to communicate well.
