The iPhone has always been synonymous with two colours, black and white. Like many smartphones out today, the colour palette is dull to say the least, but the iPhone 5S may have a third colour option for those who want a more premium touch.
Gold has been rumoured previously for iPhones, but it seems Apple will go through with the choice this time. New reports say not to expect bling gold, rather a dark champagne colour. Apple will simply coat the back aluminium with gold, as they do with the white and black version.
The gold version is set to be the same price, we cannot see Apple actually making the customer pay more for a colour. All three iPhone’s will have the same design and internals. Apple seems to be expanding their colour palette, with the iPhone 5C set to have a whole range of new colours.
Apart from the new colour, the iPhone 5S is set to be a small jolt from Apple to revamp the iPhone. The fingerprint sensor is the main feature Apple is likely to show off, allowing users and developers new security authentication and possible one touch payments.
The iPhone 5S will also have a new camera, it is still open for debate, some say it will be a 12MP sensor, others believe it will be the same 8MP sensor with a f/2.0 aperture. Apple may also add the A7 chipset and 2GB of RAM for smoother multitasking.
