Apple’s product launches are undoubtedly one of the biggest tech events to look forward to every year, especially for brand loyalists and long-time fans. With that being said though, it’s still a bit of a wait until the launch of the iPhone 16, although folks looking forward to a new Apple announcement can tune into the company’s regularly-held Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC). Apple’s WWDC presentations are likewise must-see events, especially for folks curious about what Apple has in store with its software services and offerings.
As such, Apple recently announced that its next WWDC will be held online from June 10 through 14, 2024, and the company adds that in-person attendees such as developers and students will have the opportunity to celebrate a special event at Apple Park on opening day.
The event is free for all developers, and will cover the latest updates and features across Apple’s many software platforms, including iOS, iPadOS, macOS, watchOS, tvOS, and visionOS. Apple also states that the event will also provide attendees with unique access to Apple experts, including insight into new tools, frameworks, and features. Susan Prescott, Apple’s Vice President of Worldwide Developer Relations comments:
“We’re so excited to connect with developers from around the world for an extraordinary week of technology and community at WWDC24… WWDC is all about sharing new ideas and providing our amazing developers with innovative tools and resources to help them make something even more wonderful.”
Folks looking forward to what Apple has in store for its software products and services can tune into the keynote, and they can also experience WWDC24 via the Apple Developer app, website, as well as the official Apple YouTube channel. The company promises that this year’s WWDC will include video sessions and opportunities to engage with Apple designers and engineers, and even connect with Apple’s developer community across different continents.
While WWDC usually revolves around Apple’s software services, apps and products, there’s some speculation that the company might launch a new iPad model either before or on the event, although at this point anything is possible. Earlier this month, the company announced the debut of its new M3-powered MacBook Air, which is now being sold alongside the M2 Air, with the M1 model now being discontinued. No event accompanied the announcement however, other than a simple press release.
With that said though, we’re still bound to get news on Apple’s current crop of hardware products, as WWDC will cover their respective operating platforms.

Going back to WWDC24, the event will include an in-person activity (as mentioned earlier) that gives developers the opportunity to watch the keynote at Apple Park, meet with Apple team members, and take part in special activities. There are limited slots though, so folks curious as how to attend the event can check out details via the Apple Developer site and app. Likewise, more event information will be shared through the Apple Developer app and Developer website.
