After all the leaks and speculations,  Activision has confirmed the new Call of Duty title; with Activision’s release of the new trailer it looks to most definitely be set with Simon ‘Ghost’ Riley as the main or one of the main characters.
The video trailer shows all walks of life wearing their masks and lists various reasons for wearing one, but it really hits home when it says “Some wear them to protect others”. Like a line out of superhero movie this already has a bit of action hero in it yet. If this game decides to reinvent itself it’s about time too. We’ve reached the pinnacle of Call of Duty games now and it’s time for change.
With all this being said, we’re still yet to see the graphics and the gameplay. There are no hints of what  the game play will be like although it is possible that it will be shown at the Xbox Reveal event on the 21st adding to even more of the drama already surrounding the next Xbox release.
The new engine they’re going to be using and the apparent new gameplay styles make this release more exciting as it goes along. As Microsoft is planning the event we’re sure that they’ll have everything up to a top standard so it’s not likely this will disappoint us, and who knows it may go on to be a step forward for the gaming industry.
As the Call of Duty franchise has never had a bad game, it’s never strayed from it’s formula so this could be a massive change of pace for them or just another run of the mill COD with a switched up graphic engine. It’s set in stone that this game is being released for the new Xbox and with Amazon already taking on pre-orders for release on November 5th for Xbox 360, PC and PS3 it’s more than likely going to be hitting the PS4 as well.
More info should be out over the next month.
