LG’s been hitting it big with smart monitors lately – its 77-inch LG SIGNATURE OLED T certainly impresses in terms of looks, and its new UltraGear series monitors aren’t slouches either. While they’re not officially set for an unveiling until CES in January, LG has nonetheless teased the monitors ahead of the Las Vegas event, giving fans something to look forward to once 2025 rolls in.

Marketed under the UltraGear GX9 series, the new wave of monitors consists of a handful of different models, all of which come with curved display panels featuring LG’s advanced WOLED technology. LG promises an optimal user experience with improved brightness and colour reproduction, in addition to its own Anti-Glare & Low Reflection (AGLR) coating. So what exactly can we expect with the new monitors? Let’s find out.
First up we have the LG UltraGear OLED Bendable Gaming Monitor (aka 45GX990A) which according to LG is the world’s first 5K2K-resolution OLED display with a bendable design. The monitor comes with a 45-inch panel as well as a 0.03ms (GtG) response time, and allows users to switch between a completely flat panel to a 900R curvature within seconds, making for a more flexible and versatile gaming experience. It also features a dual-mode function that lets users swap their resolution and refresh rate presets, and even change up their aspect ratio and picture size.
Also included with the new GX9 lineup is the LG UltraGear OLED Gaming Monitor (model 45GX950A) that features a 45-inch curved 800R panel, including a 21:9 format and 5K2K-resolution. It also comes with a sleek profile with slim bezels, which LG refers to as a 4-side “Virtually Borderless” design, as well as 125 PPI and an RGWB sub pixel layout. Again, LG’s Dual-Mode switching feature is present here, in addition to support for a variety of connectivity options including DisplayPort 2.1, HDMI 2.1 and USB-C, and support for NVIDIA G-SYNC and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro.

Finally, we have the LG UltraGear 39GX90SA which is designed for both gaming and content consumption. The monitor runs on webOS which allows it to work as a home entertainment hub without the need for a PC or a streaming stick or box. The UltraGear 39GX90SA comes with a 39-inch, 21:9 aspect ratio and a curved 800R OLED display which means that you’re getting vibrant colours and contrast.
With all that being said, we can expect to know and see more from LG once CES 2025 officially opens its doors to the media and public, including details such as availability and pricing.
