As far as portable Windows-powered handhelds are concerned, the Lenovo Legion Go is undoubtedly among the top players in the industry right now, blending impressive processing power and overall performance, access to your favourite AAA PC titles, and even a design that borrows some innovative elements from competing devices (Joy-Cons, anyone?). With that said, it’s a versatile piece of kit which shines thanks to its portability as well.
If you own one, then you might want to check out these new accessories which Lenovo has recently announced for the Legion Go, which add some practicality for everyday use. Lenovo also unveiled a pair of new gaming monitors which should be a perfect fit should you prefer to play at home. Let’s check them out!
A New USB-C Dock and Charging Connector
Lenovo introduced a new dedicated USB-C Dock designed for the Legion Go, which also serves as a base charging station for the handheld. On the dock you’ll find several ports which include a USB Type-C power port and 1G RJ45 port, and a full-function Type-C port. The dock also houses two USB-A 3.0 ports, in addition to an HDMI 2.0 port with support for 4K-resolution displays at 60Hz.
Up next is the Legion Go Charging Connector, which lets you clip the removable controllers into a single and separate unit with built-in charging support. Aside from the Nintendo Switch, the Legion Go is the only other mainstream portable with removable controllers, and the connector finally gives users a first-party charging method for their controllers.
Carry Case, Mini Keyboard and New Monitors
Additionally, Lenovo is also selling an official carry case with an external hard-shell design. The case is pretty large so there’s lots of extra room should you bring along other accessories like cables, flash drives, and more. The Legion Go also gets a new joystick and joystick caps with added grip, in addition to a Bluetooth-enabled Mini Keyboard which can also work with other devices wirelessly.
As mentioned earlier, also launched were new gaming monitors – there’s the 27-inch Lenovo Legion R27QC-30, although the company is also offering a larger model with the 31.5-inch Legion R32QC-30. The two monitors come with curved displays which support 180Hz refresh rates and 0.5ms (MPRT) response times.
