The Oppo Find 7 may be the dark horse of 2014, according to leaks and rumors, the new smartphone will come with specifications beating the recently announced Galaxy S5 and Xperia Z2, trumping all other Android flagship announced so far.
This is the first time we have seen the Oppo Find 7 design and we must say the Chinese company is stepping back to its style, after the questionable design changes and new features on the Oppo N1. The Oppo Find 7 looks thin, sleek and very well built.
The profile is much better than the Oppo N1, there are no gaps where the 180 degree camera fits and the whole device has a unified body. The front of the device is very minimal, with no physical buttons in sight, the Oppo Find 7 will probably come with custom software keys.
On the back we have a smaller camera in the top center with a dual-LED flash, and the Oppo logo underneath. Again, the design looks better and the dual-LED flash is becoming common on all high-end devices, allowing more color and tone when using the flash.
It is a bit odd that the 50MP camera Oppo is preparing to reveal on the Find 7 has such a small sensor, at least, smaller than the Nokia Lumia 1020 with a 41MP camera, even Samsung’s Galaxy Zoom camera had a rather large sensor.
Perhaps Oppo has found a way to consolidate the 50MP into a smaller sensor and keep away from making a hump on the back of the device. The Chinese company will also add a 2K display, that’s 2560 x 1440 resolution for anyone wondering.
The Oppo Find 7 will be announced on March 19 in Beijing and we believe the company will reveal other countries the phone will be available in. Xiaomi, another prominent smartphone company in China, recently announced the Redmi range would be coming to more countries in 2014.
