Following the Galaxy S4 Active, a new rugged edition of the GS4 for people who love the outdoors, the Galaxy S4 Zoom may be the next in the series of smartphones.
New leaks show the S4 Zoom with a rather large redesign, looking more like the Galaxy Camera than any smartphone on the market. It comes with a huge lump for the sensor and camera to reside.
A new leak from German-based blog TechTastic is parellel to what we have seen previously on the Galaxy S4 Zoom and it appears this smartphone is only a month or two away from launch.
The phone will have a 10X optical zoom and 16-megapixel sensor, there will be other camera related functionality Samsung is adding to this smartphone, which they hope will penetrate the camera market.
Specs seem to be the same as what we have seen on the Galaxy S4 Mini, with a dual-core 1.6GHz CPU, SuperAMOLED display and Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean.
We believe Samsung may add some firmware to the Galaxy S4 Zoom, for more camera related features. They will possibly add software for more camera stabilisation.
This may be the second in a long line of the Samsung GS4 range, with ‘Active’ appealing to the outdoor lovers and ‘Zoom’ appealing to photographers. We may see a premium built GS4 to compete more openly with the HTC One.
