Sundar Pichai revealed shortly after the Nexus 7, Android 4.3 and Chromecast that the Nexus 10 could be getting revamped very shortly, after it went amiss at the Google event.
A few months ago analysts poised the Nexus 10 as one of the least successful tablets, with less market share than the Windows Surface RT. It seems Google is still ready to try again with the larger Android tablet.
Some features that put off buyers included the price of the Nexus 10 and the lack of core apps for tablets. Google has tried to push the expansion of tablet apps on Android, but it is still pretty lacklustre against iOS.
Google and Samsung did make a solid hardware device though, it came with one of the best displays on a tablet, capable of overthrowing the iPad retina display, it had lots of performance brawn and it looked nice and was a firm grip tablet.
The next Nexus 10 may have to feature a cheaper price and more reasons to actually buy it. Google also did not give the Nexus 10 any limelight, hardly any advertising was done and the bigger brother was overshadowed by the Nexus 7.
We are unsure if it will arrive at IFA for some reason, with Google letting Samsung take control of the release. It is more likely to come when Key Lime Pie does, hopefully at the end of the year.
