Google Drive was announced today on Twitter and within minutes, it has dominated blogs, and trending worldwide on Twitter.
So what’s so good about it? and why should we move from Dropbox we have got to know very well?
Just like Dropbox, it’s available anywhere you can get the internet, share your files and documents (collaborate) and it’s available on Android smart phones, with the iOS version due soon.
When you sign up you also get 5GB free storage more than Dropbox to start with and you can  Upgrade to 25 GB for less than $2.50 a month, so you can store practically everything for next to nothing; that is a fair advantage over Dropbox so the question is, whether Google will dominate in that sense or will they be able to compete with the likes of Dropbox which is very well integrated with a lot of things including using it as a backup drive.
Features
- Create & collaborate.
- Work better with the products you use everyday like Google +, Gmail but what do you expect? it’s a Google product!
- Powerful search, but again Google are search engine giants.
- View anything, which is a big selling point if you carry all sorts of file formats from psd to HD movies.
- You can start a discussion to enable true collaboration with whom you share files with.
Overall a good product, but will not take away Dropbox’s share of the market.
