The Xbox One was revealed at Redmond, Washington to a mixed response, many took jabs at the Xbox One hardware, its focus on TV and the problems with always on and used gaming.
The question now stands, can Microsoft revamp user approval at E3 with a whole new line of games, completely built to be suitable for the Xbox One?
Probably. Microsoft has a lot of pull, plenty of development studios and a lot of money and potential users. Cable TV will be a hit with the general community and they are expanding their content range.
For core gamers, the Xbox One is a little bit of a bust. The hardware inside seems powerful and the architecture could be groundbreaking, but it does not bode well when indie developers cannot self publish and games will have gimmicky features like voice control and multitasking.
Comparing the Xbox One to Sony’s PS4 or a high end PC, we would say for gamers the ideal console is not coming from Microsoft this year. This is a entertainment console, built for people who want to watch TV, play a few games and enjoy the Windows layout.
This is a sad time for gamers however, Microsoft seems to have turned their back on the millions of paying customers.
