Honor’s done pretty well for itself – formerly under Huawei, it’s grown into a formidable brand on its own, pumping out some of the most impressive smartphones that we’ve seen on the market. As it so happens, Honor also makes Windows hardware via its MagicBook line, which comes with different models aimed at varying budgets. Most recently, the company took the wraps off its MagicBook X14 Plus and X16 Plus, both of which feature some nice hardware specs.
As you can probably tell, both laptops come with some key differences when it comes to overall features, although there’s a lot that they share as well. It should also be mentioned that at the moment they are exclusive for Chinese markets, although we’re hoping that they eventually launch for more regions worldwide. Here’s a rundown of what you can expect.

Design and Displays
As far as looks are concerned, both laptops are rather identical to each other, featuring designs that let users know that they are modern Windows machines – this includes aluminium-clad bodies (available in either Starry Gray or Light Sea Blue), thin bezels and an overall slim design. As for display, the Magicbook X16 Plus features a 16-inch screen (unsurprisingly) with a resolution of 2,560 x 1,600 pixels and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. The smaller X14 Plus is equipped with a a 14-inch display with a 2,880 x 1,800 resolution.
In terms of connectivity, both laptops come with a fairly generous amount of hardware ports, which includes a pair of USB-C ports, two USB-A ports, a single HDMI port, and even a 3.5 mm headphone jack for audio connections. The laptops also feature backlit keyboards, although the larger X16 Plus packs a numpad as there’s enough space for such.

Internal Hardware and Pricing
Inside, both the MagicBook X14 Plus and X16 Plus are powered by Intel’s 13th-gen i5 chip (no word on a Snapdragon variant at the moment), although they do feature some distinctions when it comes to battery, mostly due to their sizes. As such, the larger X16 Plus runs on a 75Wh battery with 65W fast charging, while the X14 Plus comes with a slightly smaller 60Wh battery, although it comes with the same 65W charging speed.
Both computers run on Windows 11 Home, and share more similarities such as support for NFC, Bluetooth 5.1, and WiFi 5 connectivity. They are also available in 16GB and 32GB RAM configurations, and are offered with a maximum storage of up to 1TB. As for pricing, the MagicBook X14 Plus starts at CNY 4,899, and the X16 Plus is priced starting at CNY 5,099.
