HTC has announced some new products at IFA in Berlin today, including two new devices, the Desire 301 and Desire 601, BoomBass speaker system and the HTC One and HTC One Mini in a vivid blue color option.
Starting with the Desire 301, this is HTC’s budget end smartphone, with a 1GHz Snapdragon CPU and 512MB of RAM, it really is budget end. The display is a 4.3-inch 480p display powered by a 1650mAh battery. The device comes with 4GB of internal storage space, a 5MP rear shooter, WiFi and Bluetooth. There is no LTE option for this device – looks sided more to developing markets.
The Desire 601 is a little better on the specs, with a dual-core Snapdragon 400 CPU and 1GB of RAM powering the device. With a slightly larger 4.5-inch 540p display and 2100mAh battery to keep it running. The device has the same amount of internal storage and same rear camera as the Desire 301, but this device comes with LTE.
With Beats trying to buy back its share in its company from HTC, it is odd to see the Taiwanese giant launch a compact speaker, called BoomBass. We are not sure if this is packed with Beats Audio hardware, but it looks like an incredibly well designed speaker, now we just await the hands on.
Last, the HTC One and HTC One Mini will both get a blue colour option, set to be available in certain market on Q4 2013. The blue colour is more vivid than dark blue, denouncing all the leaks of a dark blue HTC One.
