So you’ve finally purchased that pre-order for Apple’s newest flagship phone, the iPhone 15 Pro – maybe you’re still in the process of choosing which colour or storage option to go with, or maybe you’re simply waiting for the delivery van to pull up in front of your house, hopefully with a shiny new package inside. Whatever the case maybe, it’s become a tradition of sorts for most users to prepare accessories for their new device, to make sure they have everything they need to get started right away.
This is why we’ve put together this list of must-have accessories for your new iPhone. The 15 Pro comes with all the latest hardware and software from Apple, such as a new USB-C port (finally), a Titanium design, and last year’s Dynamic Island feature, to name a few. With this in mind, we have a few suggestions as to gear that you might want to use with your brand new device. Let’s get started!
UGREEN 65W USB-C Charger
Ever since the great iPhone charger migration of 2020, Tim Cook and co. have decided not to include any more wall chargers in new iPhone boxes, meaning that devices such as the iPhone 12 and above no longer come with a charger in the box. This shouldn’t be an issue for most people who are simply upgrading and will most likely have a charging brick ready at hand.
If you are new to iOS, however – and smartphones in general – then there’s a chance that you might not have a charger with you. As such, you can check out UGREEN’s 65W USB-C charger, which comes with a decent charging speed compared to most generic chargers out there. It also supports USB-C, which means your iPhone 15 Pro’s cable should feel right at home with it.
Spigen Thin Fit Case
While the iPhone 15 Pro is made from a sturdy mix of strengthened glass and Titanium, it’s still a smartphone, which means that it’s slippery and prone to drops and cracks, especially on the more vulnerable glass rear panel and display. With that said, you might want to go with a relatively thin case that won’t add too much weight and bulk to your device.
Spigen’s Thin Fit case is purpose-built for this kind of occasion, especially for users who only want to add a bit of grip to their device, and some light protection for a few knocks and bumps along the way. The case features a combination of TPU sides for an easy fit, in addition to a grippy polycarbonate back that’s made to be hard and form-fitting, with all the right cutouts for your ports and buttons.
OtterBox Defender Case
Still, if you’re after a bit more protection for your iPhone 15 Pro, then you can’t go wrong with the OtterBox Defender Case, which comes with a pretty robust design to protect your phone from serious damage. The OtterBox Defender features a three-piece design, which consists of an outer shell, an inner frame, and an additional frame that surrounds your display and keeps it safe from most damage. It’s made of polycarbonate and TPU, and it’s a bit thick to keep your phone safe when outdoors.
There’s also an additional cover that clips onto your belt, in case you’re into that sort of thing.
Spigen EZ-Fit Screen Protector
While Apple does advertise the iPhone 15 Pro’s display as being damage-resistant from most scratches and cracks, there’s still that possibility that it might get damaged from a nasty fall or unintended drops. As such, you might want to invest in a tempered glass screen protector for your phone. Compared to film screen protectors, tempered glass screen protectors are a bit more resistant to scratches, and have a higher chance of protecting your screen from impact.
With that said, Spigen’s EZ-Fit screen protector is a convenient way to add protection to your display, with an easy-to-use application method that effortlessly aligns the screen protector with your iPhone 15 Pro’s display.
Anker USB-C Cable
While it’s great that Apple includes a cable with its new iPhones, there’s always the fact that eventual wear and tear will slowly eat away at the cable, a sad state of affairs that we’ve seen one too many times in the real world. With that said, Anker’s USB-C cable is designed to add a bit more flexibility, reducing the daily wear and tear that most other cables go through on a daily basis.
