What's This?

The iPhone event in just over two weeks away, set to reveal the iPhone 5S, iPhone 5C and the Golden Master iOS7. The iPhone 5S is set to be the new flagship and like every other revamped iPhone it will come with the newest chipset.

The A7 chipset is set to come on the iPhone 5S, reports say it will be 31% faster than the A6 chipset on the iPhone 5. This is a little under the speed advantage the A6 chipset had on the A5 in the iPhone 4S.

Apple has been working on other areas in the chipset, especially regarding battery performance. The iPhone 5S may be capable of half the battery consumption the iPhone 5 had, possibly leading to double-figures on normal day battery life.

The A7 chipset will not be the only change to the iPhone 5S, even though the design and display will stay the same, Apple may add a motion tracking chip, wireless charging, fingerprint sensor and 13MP camera with dual-LED flash.

The motion tracking chip would be another improvement on the camera, still one of the best in the world. Apple may add additional chips and parts to the camera, to make image stabilisation and zoom better.

Apple will release the iPhone 5S with 32, 64 and 128GB storage options, according to a recent report saying Apple would stop 16GB versions and begin selling the iPhone with 128GB. This is in contrast to the iPhone 5C, which may be called the iPhone Colour, said to be coming with 8, 16 or 32GB storage options.
