Apple’s September 10 iPhone event is just a few days away and the company is expected to reveal the new flagship iPhone 5S, alongside the cheaper iPhone 5C and the new mobile OS update, iOS7.
Even though the iPhone 5S is the S model upgrade, meaning the phone is an internally upgraded smartphone that takes out some of the problems on the iPhone 5, basically making it a more refined handset for those coming from the iPhone 4S.
New leaked iPhone 5S packaging hints at the fingerprint sensor coming on the new iPhone, with the Home button redesign with a minimalistic white glow on the outside and no icon in the circle.
The fingerprint sensor is not the only feature new on the iPhone 5S, Apple will be adding an A7 chipset to the smartphone, 2GB of RAM, a 128GB storage option, 13MP camera with aperture f/2.0 and larger battery life. It is likely we will see some minor upgrades on the smartphone as well, like adding WiFi ac and more LTE bands.
Apple will rework the iPhone page for this new release, with the iPhone 5S coming at $199, the iPhone 5 being dropped to the $99 and the iPhone 5C coming free with a two year contract. This will make sure the lighting connector is the only port on the Apple store, discarding the old 30-pin connector used on the iPhone 4S.
