The Xperia Z1 and Galaxy Note 3 will both be released at IFA 2013, this much has been affirmed by Sony’s constant teasers and Samsung’s VP of Mobile confirming the Galaxy Note 3 will be at the event.
Set to launch on September 4, the two phones will both look to get top marks at the event, with high-end specs on both to rival what is currently on offer.
The Galaxy Note 3 will come with a 5.68-inch 1080p display, quad-core Snapdragon 800 CPU, 3GB of RAM, 32/64/128GB storage options, microSD slot, 13MP camera, 3300mAh battery, WiFi, Bluetooth, NFC and the S Pen.
Sony will pack the Xperia Z1 with a 5.2-inch 1080p display, waterproof and dustproof design, Snapdragon 800 CPU, 2GB of RAM, 32GB storage, 20MP OIS camera, 2800mAh battery and all the usual wireless chips, apart from NFC.
The release dates for these two devices and some more have been leaked through a Three UK internal document, showing the Lumia 1020, Xperia Z Ultra, Xperia Z1, Galaxy Note 3 and LG G2 dates in the UK.
Earliest is the Xperia Z Ultra on September 9, followed by the Galaxy Note 3 on September 16, then the Xperia Z1 on September 24 with the Nokia Lumia 1020 launching the day after. Surprisingly the LG G2 will not make it onto Three UK until October 1, even though it was released a month earlier than the Xperia Z1 and Galaxy Note 3.
This leak may obviously be fake and even if real dates may change, Three UK is starting to rollout its 4G service for no extra cost this year, so grabbing the top devices may push the carrier above its current stance in the UK market.
