What's This?

Lenovo is not well known in the UK, Europe and US for smartphones, it was quite a shock when leakers started saying there was a quad-core 1080p Windows Phone developed by Lenovo on the way.

However, the company is one of the biggest smartphone manufacturers in their home town, China. The company has plenty of cheap and mid-range handsets in the country, but rarely releases them in other areas.

This would be one of the first top-tier releases and it makes us believe Lenovo is ready to push the mobile business out of China, into the Western world. With China’s unsubsidised contracts, it will be hard for the high-tier Lenovo phone to really make waves through the country, unless it is cheap.

Known as the Lenovo K6 or Lenovo X910, the phone is set to feature a Snapdragon 800 chip with 2GB of RAM and an Adreno 330 graphics chip. It will be a five inch smartphone with a 1080 x 1920 display, similar to most every top-tier Android phone on the market right now.
