What's This?

LG Electronics has officially announced its latest addition to its LG gram series of laptops, including the new gram Ultraslim and the gram Style. Unveiled at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, the new laptops combine both performance and portability into lightweight designs. According to Seo Young-jae, senior vice president and head of the IT business unit of LG Electronics Business Solutions Company:

“Welcoming the arrival of the brand-new gram Ultraslim and gram Style, the 2023 LG gram line up gets even more diverse. A leading brand in the ultra-lightweight laptop market for the last decade, LG gram will continue to introduce new form factors to meet the changing needs and tastes of consumers worldwide.”

LG gram Ultraslim & Style

Starting off, we have the LG gram Ultraslim, one of LG’s slimmest laptops to date. It weighs in at just 998 grams and is only 10.99 millimeters thick, making it very ideal for lugging around in a backpack around town. Despite the slim design, it comes with premium hardware including a 15.6-inch OLED display with anti-glare coating and Intel’s 13th Generation Raptor Lake chip with Performance Cores.

Meanwhile, the LG gram Style is offered in 16 and 14-inch versions. The Style laptops come with a glass finish on the external design, which evokes a cool gradient appearance. LG’s focus on design also incorporates a haptic touchpad with soft LED backlighting that illuminates at the user’s touch.

Both 16 and 14-inch variants feature a 16:10, OLED display with a high refresh rate and anti-glare coating, an Intel 13th Gen Raptor Lake P-Core CPU, and a Gen4 NVMe SSD. There’s also support for Thunderbolt 4 and HDMI connectivity, as well as Dolby Atmos audio.

Additionally, this year’s lineup also features the new gram 17, 16, 15, and 14 laptop models. The 17- and 16-inch models are equipped with NVIDIA’s GeForce™ RTX 3050 4GB Laptop GPU, Intel’s 13th Gen Raptor Lake P-Core CPU, and a Gen4 NVMe™ SSD. The laptops also feature IPS displays with variable refresh rates and Dolby Atmos audio for content consumption. The new models are likewise focused on providing users with a slim, easy-to-carry design, weighing less than 1.45 kilograms.

2-in-1 Designs

LG also announced upgraded models of the gram 2-in-1 and +view. The new 2-in-1 model comes in 16 and 14-inch sizes and lets users switch from laptop to tablet. The hybrid design also comes with a slim bezel built into a sturdy aluminium frame, and can be used with software for note-taking and drawing applications, as well as the LG Stylus Pen.

The portable LG +view monitor lets users enjoy a larger display on the go, and it also comes with dual USB Type-C ports, enabling users to connect to two devices simultaneously and enjoy the convenience of two-way power delivery. As for availability, LG says that the new gram line up will be launching globally starting from next month in Korea.
