What's This?

CES 2025 is finally here, and a lot of big-name brands are showing off some of their latest and greatest tech including smartphones, IoT devices, home entertainment and a whole lot more. LG in particular has been busy lately, with a wide array of new and upcoming products under its belt. This includes its latest addition to its CineBeam projector lineup, in the form of the 3-in-1 CineBeam PF600U model.

It’s a Projector, and a… Lamp?

As one could probably tell from the name, the PF600U makes for a somewhat-minimalist addition to an indoor home entertainment setup thanks to its integrative design. While it does take the unassuming appearance of a mood lamp at first glance, the PF600U also serves as a wireless Bluetooth speaker and a smart projector (hence the CineBeam name). This allows for a pretty versatile user experience, meaning that it’s not “limited” to serving as a projector.

As for the technical details, the projector comes with an FHD resolution with 1,920 x 1,080 pixels, as well as 300 ANSI lumens of brightness and support for online content streaming. The projector also runs on LG’s webOS device platform which provides users access to a large selection of content. For audio, there are built-in stereo speakers with passive radiators for a more immersive listening experience, and the integrated LED mood lamp comes equipped with nine colours and five brightness levels. Additionally, there’s support for 110-degree tilting included as well.

LG CineBeam S

In addition to its 3-in-1 projector, LG also unveiled the new CineBeam S, which according to the company is its smallest 4K UST projector. In addition to a relatively compact size, the CineBeam S packs a sharp 4K UHD resolution of 3,840 x 2,160 pixels and up to 500 ANSI lumens of brightness, which makes for more immersive viewing sessions with up to 154 percent coverage of the DCI-P3 colour space. The CineBeam S is also able to project content ranging from 40- to 100-inches with just a few inches of wall clearance.

In terms of design, the CineBeam S features a metallic paintjob which allows it to fit in nicely with modern interiors. For sound, the projector is equipped with a built-in stereo sound system with Dolby Atmos support, and also runs on LG webOS for access to popular streaming services including Netflix, Prime Video, Disney Plus, and more. As with other CineBeam models, the new S also comes with Auto Screen Adjustment, Wall Colour Adjustment as well as Screen Scaling/Shifting, with a straightforward setup and alignment process for different rooms, walls, and spaces.

LG is expected to roll out its new CineBeam S and PF600U model projectors for select markets soon.
