What's This?

Logitech’s expansive lineup of different computing and gaming peripherals has allowed to remain as one of the go-to brands for buyers after good-quality gear for their gaming and work setups. With that being said, the company recently unveiled the G515 Lightspeed TKL Wireless Keyboard (quite a mouthful, we know), which is designed to look low-profile without sacrificing performance during intense gaming sessions.

As such, you might be curious as to what Logitech is offering with the G515 – maybe you’re due for an upgrade, or maybe you want to dip your toes into Logitech’s offerings for the first time. Whatever the case might be, we’ve prepared this quick rundown of what you can expect with the G515. Let’s get started!

Overall Design

While most gaming keyboards go all-out when it comes to styling and visuals, there’s a charm that more minimalist options come with, especially for folks who want to keep things simple. Logitech says that in designing the keyboard, the G515’s more simple look allows for a more “efficient and comfortable typing experience” thanks to a combination of low-profile switches, alongside an overall slimmer design. The company adds that it was able to maintain the G515’s sleek design while including features such as LIGHTSPEED, LIGHTSYNC, and KEYCONTROL, all designed for gamers.

At just 22 mm high, the G515’s slim profile allows it to be used without a dedicated wrist rest, and Logitech states that this keeps things comfortable for users even when gaming. The keyboard’s switches activate with a minimal distance of 1.3mm, and a total travel distance of 3.2mm, shorter than most traditional switches. The G515 also integrates a layer of sound-dampening foam, pre-lubricated switches, integrated stabilizers, and premium PBT keycaps for a more comfy and better-sounding typing experience.

Additional Features

The G515 keyboard also features a suite of handy built-in features, such as Logitech’s new KEYCONTROL technology, which gives users additional customization capabilities not found on more traditional keyboards. This means that each key can perform up to 15 different actions, allowing gamers to personalize their keyboard with macros, audio cues, lighting effects, and more. Meanwhile, KEYCONTROL includes layers and modifiers like G SHIFT, which comes with even more customization possibilities, allowing users to switch their entire key layouts at the press of a button.

Logitech has made the G515 a feature-rich keyboard, and it comes with a few more additional features; there’s 2:1 LIGHTSPEED Wireless Pairing, which lets users connect their gaming mouse via the G515 LIGHTSPEED dongle, LIGHTSYNC RGB lighting which gives access to 16.8M colours to customize their experience and connect all of their Logitech G gear with G HUB, Tri-Mode Connectivity that lets users choose from LIGHTSPEED wireless, Bluetooth, and USB-C wired data mode, and up to 36 hours of continuous use.

Pricing and Availability

At the moment, the Logitech G515 Lightspeed TKL Wireless Keyboard is available via LogitechG.com for buyers in the US, Canada, and select markets worldwide starting at $139 US and €149.99 for the wireless version, and $99 US and €109.99 for the wired model, which is set to arrive later in the year – it’s available in Black and White.
