Webcams are an interesting product – they usually just sit on top of your computer, rarely used except for those occasional work meetings or video calls from family. With that in mind, modern webcams come with a ton of considerable improvements, both in overall functionality and image quality – take for example Logitech’s new MX Brio webcam range, which offer new capabilities as far as productivity and remote conferencing needs go.
The new webcam is available in two variants consisting of the “standard” MX Brio and MX Brio 705 for Business. Despite some small differences, the MX Brio in general packs a lot of useful new features that can get the job done, especially for users after a competent imaging tool for their computer.
A Practical Design with AI Inside
As far as looks are concerned, the MX Brio doesn’t really go about reinventing the wheel, so to speak – it’s a functional-looking webcam with a design that allows it to easily clip on your monitor and plug into your computer without much fuss. With all that being said though, where the MX Brio excels is with all the built-in features – for one, the webcam does support Ultra HD 4K resolution, meaning that your images and video quality will be considerably sharper. In fact, Logitech says that the webcam’s advanced sensor packs up to 70% larger pixels, compared to the older Brio 4K model.
Another new feature that’s built into the MX Brio is AI – sure, it’s become the go-to marketing buzzword for a lot of brands these days, but Logitech claims that the MX Brio’s included AI software allows it to enhance overall image quality, so you’ll appear a lot clearer to viewers on the other side of your video call. The AI image enhancement features include auto light correction, in addition to face-based image enhancement, and there’s even support for enhanced face visibility, which lets the webcam focus on the finer details in an image.
Manual Tools and Audio
The MX Brio is also designed to provide users with an improved audio experience – Logitech has included two beamforming microphones within the webcam, which are designed to reduce any noise and ambient sounds in the background for clearer-sounding calls. In addition to this, users can also customize the MX Brio via the Logi Options+ software, which allows for manual tinkering with the webcam’s exposure, tiny, vibrance, field of view, and such.
Another useful feature on the MX Brio is “Show Mode,” which allows users to showcase their sketches or other objects on their end by simply tilting the webcam. Menawhile, the MX Brio 705 features a “RightSight” feature that allows for auto-framing a subject by detecting and zooming on a speaker, even when they move around the scene.

The MX Brio is now available for most markets worldwide – in terms of availability, buyers can grab the MX Brio will in either Graphite and Pale Grey colour variants through www.logitech.com as well as authorized resellers for a recommended retail price of £220 in the UK.
