The all new Samsung Galaxy S10 range has officially been announced. The best of Samsung Galaxy just got better!
Building on the success of the fantastic Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+, Samsung has launched three Galaxy phones ahead of this year’s Mobile World Congress, the largest mobile phone conference on the planet!
What’s to love about the new Galaxy S10 range?
Firstly, there are three options to choose from at launch, so there’s something for everybody. All three of the phones will benefit from Samsung’s latest Exynos 9820 chipset, which will deliver faster performance and improved battery efficiency over last year’s models. Each of the phones in the Galaxy S10 range have 3.5 mm headphone jacks and benefit from the option of expandable storage via microSD.
The most affordable option, the Galaxy S10e will feature a 5.8-inch all-screen display with a punch-hole design for its 10 MP front-facing camera. On the rear, the Galaxy S10e has a dual camera setup that includes a 16 MP ultra-wide camera and a 12 MP camera with optical image stabilisation and dual pixel autofocus for capturing fast-moving action. The Galaxy S10e’s base model comes with 6GB RAM and 128GB of onboard storage, an 8GB / 256GB version is also available.
Samsung Galaxy S10 and S10+
Moving up in the range, the Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10+ come with large 6.1-inch and 6.4-inch screens respectively, with super bright and immersive Quad HD+ dynamic AMOLED displays. The screens of the Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10+ deliver brilliantly vibrant colours and sharp details. Both the Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10+ feature triple camera setups that offer the best image and video quality captured from a Galaxy phone yet, which is ideal for creative types. Packing tonnes of processing power, the Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10+ start at 8GB RAM with onboard storage options available in both 128GB and 512GB configurations. Additionally, a monster 12GB / 1TB option will be offered at the top tier, which will only be available in ceramic white.
As the phone’s come almost bezel-free, both the Galaxy S10 and S10+ feature ultrasonic fingerprint scanners that are embedded under the display, another first for the Galaxy range. The more affordable Galaxy S10e sees the fingerprint scanner moved to the side of the device. All three phones use 2D facial recognition for hands-free unlocking.
The arrival of the exciting new Galaxy range sees the introduction of a brand new feature for the Galaxy family – Samsung Wireless PowerShare. This innovative new function will allow people to wirelessly charge other compatible devices, including the new Samsung Galaxy Buds by simply laying them on the S10.
Galaxy S10 5G
There’s also a Galaxy S10 5G with a larger 6.7″ WQHD+ Dynamic AMOLED display and a bigger 4,500 mAh battery. This is scheduled for a later release in the UK, most likely to coincide with when 5G becomes widely available in the UK, but for now we can check out its specs here:
