Motorola seems to be moving on from its past, with a new company logo and new initiatives to make the best smartphones on Android. It is starting to feel like Google is merging Motorola into the company, as they have with Android and YouTube.
The new Motorola ad cements new ideas by Google for the Moto X phone, it will be designed, engineered and assembled all in the US, a new feat for any company and one we expect to be repeated by Apple and other American mobile companies.
The ad also details how the user will be able to design the phone themselves, we are not sure exactly what this means, whether it is fully designing the phone with different parts or just a basic different colour/different material.
Motorola is making a very patriotic statement with the ad and we suspect they will market it out to the US before anywhere else. All four major carriers have said they will carry the phone and it will come with 4G LTE.
We are excited to see what the Moto X has, according to recent reports, Google has fitted some different sensors on the phone to make it more intelligent than anything else on the market.
The Moto X may come with the next edition of Android, whether that is Android 4.3 or Android Key Lime Pie we will have to see. Early reports said the Moto X may come with a new Nexus UI Google has been working on, although this rumour has not been backed by any sources recently.
