Google has been surprisingly quiet this year with product releases, we are still waiting for the next Android update, the new Nexus smartphone and the new Nexus tablet, on top of the new Chromebook’s, Google TV’s and a new media player.
However, we may not be waiting long for one of these devices, the new Nexus 7 tablet is reportedly set to launch sometime in July and will come with new features.
The most welcomed feature will be the new display, set to be a full HD 1920 x 1080 resolution display, it will hit higher than the Kindle Fire HD and the iPad Mini by a considerable amount.
More interesting features include the design getting a small trim and the bezel being thinned out. This will mean more screen real estate and less weight on the tablet.
Pricing will start at $229 for the 16GB version and we believe Google will offer a 32GB version as well, possibly for $269. We may see big cuts in the Nexus 7, to around $99.
