Samsung just unveiled the second iteration of the first Android-powered camera that was released just around a year ago, and just like its previous generation, its also comes with a 21x zoom and comes with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean out of the box .
The new Galaxy Camera 2 is a 16-megapixel Android smart camera with BSI CMOS sensor and 21x optical zoom; we put the 21x zoom to test on the last gen and it performed exceptionally well in Berlin. On the back is a 4.8-inch touchscreen powered by a 1.6GHz quad-core processor with 2GB of RAM.
One of the biggest selling point of the Galaxy Camera was the ability to be able to share your photos as soon as they are taken so Samsung has included built in Wi-Fi connectivity and providing most network providers offers tethering packages, it would go well bundled with smartphones sold with unlimited pay monthly data plans. Other connectivity capability includes NFC meaning you can share your pictures with a compatible device such as the Galaxy S4 or hopefully the rumoured Galaxy S5.
With 8GB built-in memory you can store a lot of photos with the option to expand using a microSD and Dropbox storage of 50gb cloud storage should you wish to back up or share your photos.
TouchWiz camera mode is known for various camera mode and who is to stop Samsung from including a new feature called selfie mode which takes a burst of five quick snaps so you can choose the best one to share via Instagram.
Pricing and availability is yet to be confirmed but will debut at CES 2014.
