The running meme for the past few years has been Nokia 3310 as the unbreakable object, withstanding every single drop, never running out of battery and still working fine after getting dropped in a lake.
In light of April Fools, Nokia has revealed the next generation of Nokia 3310, running Windows Phone. The design has been tweaked slightly to bring in Nokia’s new features, including the 41MP PureView camera.
The design of the Nokia 3310 has been slightly tampered, changing the half-screen half-keyboard to a full touch-screen display with the three classic Nokia keys.
On the back of the device is the gigantic 41MP, taking up a good third of the device. It reminds us a bit of the Nokia Lumia 808, the first phone to have a 41MP rear sensor, which looked a little awkward as well.
The new Nokia 3310 also comes in the primary Windows Phone colors, yellow, light-blue, red and green. They have the same sort of plastic discolouring we remember on the original version.
Even though Nokia has moved on from the 3310, it is still the Finnish company’s best selling device to date, with over 126 million recorded sales and plenty more second-hand deals, we still see people using the old brick.
