While most of the smartphone industry’s spotlight is currently on Nothing’s latest Phone 2a, the company’s CMF sub-brand also recently launched a pair of new audio products in the form of the CMF Neckband Pro, and CMF Buds. Both products are designed for buyers after good-sounding audio without spending too much, and come with some pretty sweet features. Akis Evangelidis, Co-founder of Nothing comments:
“Last September, we launched our sub-brand, CMF by Nothing, bringing great design to more people and delivering an uncompromised user experience in a segment that has often been neglected… The reception for our first-generation products has been amazing, and they quickly became bestsellers. Today, we are excited to launch Buds and Neckband Pro, and even more excited about everything that’s to come.”
CHECK OUT: The Nothing Phone (2a) is Official – Here’s What You Need to Know
CMF Buds
First up are the CMF Buds, which according to Nothing are the best in their respective price segment. Priced at £39, the CMF Buds come with a depth of 42 dB and a bandwidth of up to 2900 Hz, and feature built-in noise cancelling as well as transparency mode. Additionally, Nothing has designed the CMF Buds with four HD mics, which work in tandem with Clear Voice Technology and a wind noise reduction algorithm for reduced external noise.
Nothing says that the CMF Buds come with “enhanced acoustic components” in addition to Ultra Bass Technology 2.0, allowing listeners to experience an expansive soundscape with deep bass, as well as balanced mid-range notes and treble. They also come with support for five different EQ settings tailored to various music styles. For battery, the buds can last for up to eight hours of use on a single charge, with a total of 35.5 hours with the charging case. Meanwhile, a ten-minute charge provides up to 6.5 hours of usage.
CMF Neckband Pro
If you’re after a wired solution for your audio needs, then you might want to check out CMF’s Neckband Pro instead – ideal for workouts, the Neckband Pro is designed to make sure that you don’t lose your earbuds during workouts, and they also come equipped with an IP55 rating for water, sweat and dust resistance. The Neckband Pro features a physical 3-in-1 Smart Dial, which allows users to adjust volume, play/pause or skip tracks, or control Active Noise Cancellation with a quick spin or press.
Inside, the Neckband Pro features a custom chipset and five HD mics for noise cancellation of up to 50 dB, as well as Environment Adaptive ANC that can automatically adjust to ambient noise with three intensity settings to choose from. Nothing says that the Neckband Pro can also provide clear voice calls thanks to an AI noise cancellation algorithm, which was tested with over 30 million sound samples.
The Neckband Pro also packs a 13.6mm composite diaphragm driver and a 0.27cc back chamber for improved bass sound quality, with reduced distortion. As with the CMF Buds, it also includes Ultra Bass Technology 2.0 which detects music signals in real time for a clearer bass effect. The Neckband Pro’s processor creates a Spatial Audio Effect, which gives users a more immersive listening experience.
Finally, there’s a 220 mAh inside that can provide up to 37 hours of non-stop playback or fast-charge for 10 minutes to listen for 18 hours, with ANC turned off – you can grab them for £35 in the UK.
