OnePlus is firing on all cylinders – following the launch of the Ace 3 Pro and OnePlus Pad Pro, the company is now gearing up for the launch the OnePlus Nord 4, the next big device in its midrange Nord lineup. With that in mind, an official launch event is scheduled for July 16th in Milan, Italy. Invites sent to media and influencers hint at an exciting feature, with the tagline “Never Settle” emblazoned on a metal invite card.
All-Metal Design?
Unsurprisingly, this has sparked excitement about a return to full-metal designs, a rarity in the current glass-dominated smartphone market. Interestingly, rumors suggest that the Nord 4 might be a rebranded version of the China-exclusive OnePlus Ace 3V. The Ace 3V packs a curved 6.74-inch AMOLED display, a Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 processor, and a camera system with a 50MP main sensor and an 8MP ultra-wide lens. Adding to the list of specs is a 5500mAh battery with 100W fast charging support.
Going back to the all-metal build, the use of full aluminium cases on smartphone designs lessened with the introduction of wireless charging, with most manufacturers shifting to glass backs to enable the feature. It can be remembered that early OnePlus phones such as the OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 5 for example used metal unibody designs.
Other Upcoming Tech
In addition to the Nord 4, OnePlus is also set to reveal several other products, which include the OnePlus Pad 2, the Nord Buds 3 Pro, and the OnePlus Watch 2R, which the company teases as a “lightweight” Wear OS smartwatch. Some are speculating that the OnePlus Watch 2R might be the LTE-enabled OnePlus Watch 2 model that was recently launched in China, although full details are uncertain at the moment.
For European markets, OnePlus is also partnering with bag and suitcase producer TUMI for a limited run of co-branded products for buyers who pre-order the OnePlus Nord 4. Theese include the TUMI Voyageur Persia Crossbody Bag and the TUMI 19 Degree Aluminium International Carry-on, both products which are described as having “intrinsic links” to the OnePlus Nord 4. For example, the TUMI 19 Degree Aluminium International Carry-on is made of superior grade aluminium, with emphasis on durability, style and security.

Buyers who pre-order the upcoming OnePlus Nord 4 on OnePlus’ official website will have an opportunity to grab an exclusive OnePlus co-branded Persia Crossbody Bag, while supplies last. Meanwhile, the Tumi 19 Degree Aluminium International Carry-on will be given to a few, lucky users who pre-order OnePlus Nord 4 via a random draw mechanism.
