CyanogenMod and any sort of Android ROM has been hard to install in the past, with the average user not really understanding anything about the process and even with a tutorial, it is still a hard push for a change in the UI.
The modding team know this and the next version of CyanogenMod will work directly to combat the hefty installation process, with CyanogenMod ready to release their ROM onto manufacturers smartphones without the need to install.
Oppo, the Chinese manufacturer of the Find 5, will be the first manufacturer of the CyanogenMod smartphone, named the Oppo N1. We have heard rumors about the Oppo N1 for a while now, but we thought this would be another Android smartphone with UI skin.
If there was one big criticism of the Oppo Find 5, it would be the UI, the skin was amongst the worst in the Android world, with terrible design choices and hit-and-miss functionality without any real consistency.
CyanogenMod could be the factor that makes the Oppo N1 the perfect smartphone and boosts it past the Chinese market and onto the main stage in Europe and the US. Bare in mind CyanogenMod is quickly approaching the third largest OS, behind Windows Phone.
The Oppo N1 is set for a September 23 release in China and the company has declined to say about Europe, US, the rest of Asia or Latin America, this may be due to the range a small startup can get, Oppo still does not have huge revenue.
CyanogenMod leader Steve Kondik has said he will be attending the Oppo event and will reveal some CyanogenMod news, likely to be the release of the first smartphone.
