In anticipation and preparation of the arrival of the new Pebble watch, one of most successful kickstarter project we have ever seen, Pebble has released the accompanying apps for iOS and Android to allow users to change the watch faces amongst other things you can do with it. Â The App is ever so simple just like the way the watch looks itself, the first batch of watches was being shipped out to Kickstarter backers from the 23rd of January.
Although the app will not do anything until you have received and paired up your smart watch, Pebble has got everything right so far from their presence and demo at CES to how they handle feedback and interaction via their Twitter handle. Â Releasing the apps before the watches also removes the concern about Apple’s green light for the App to be in the iTunes App Store.
Functionality includes:
- changing watchfaces
- updating the firmware,
- sending sample notifications – of emails, SMS, pings, and phone calls – to the timepiece.
