As usual, Samsung has taken their event to the next level, broadcasting from Berlin to NYC and showing so many advertisements, promotional videos and weird features for their devices we do sometimes wonder if we are on the same planet.
The Galaxy Note 3 was the main attraction of the day, with a 5.7-inch full HD display, 2.3GHz quad-core processor or 1.9GHz octa-core processor, depending on the region. The design is really interesting from Samsung, instead of plastic, they have added a woven “leather” back cover, quite an odd choice.
Focusing on making the Galaxy Note 3 one of the best devices in the world, Samsung has added 3GB of RAM for that little boost in multitasking. They showed some new note apps and multitasking UI, this will take advantage of the extra gig of RAM.
S Pen is back and better than ever, with enhancements made to make the stylus the best on the market. Samsung is still committed to the stylus approach, with feedback from users saying they use the S Note app and the stylus regularly.
The Galaxy Gear is also official, coming with a 1.63 AMOLED screen with 320 x 320 resolution. Samsung has said there will be seventy apps at the launch, quite a large amount, although we don’t know how many are Samsung developed apps.
Even though the Galaxy Gear is a small push from Samsung, we can see the development growing on smartwatches. Crafted with an aluminium design with cellular services available, the Galaxy Gear does look like an intriguing products.
The last product launch was the Galaxy Note 10.1, the newest tablet from Samsung. It comes with a 10.1-inch 2560 x 1600 WQXGA display, the same resolution as the Nexus 10.
The new tablet comes with an insane 8,220mAh battery, hopefully giving a full day of battery life. No word on the internals for the Galaxy Note 10.1, but we believe it will come with a quad-core CPU, 3GB of RAM and some other top tier specs.
