What's This?

The launch of Samsung’s cloud-based Gaming Hub platform for the company’s TVs and monitors has proven to be rather popular, with the Korean electronics giant pushing a ton of games and software for the service. As such, Samsung recently announced the addition of several new games, by way of a brand new partnership with Antstream Arcade and Blacknut.

Antstream Arcade

Samsung’s partnership with Antstream Arcade will bring over more than 1,400 retro games to Gaming Hub, including 500 “mini-challenges.” Gaming Hub users can access classic arcade titles like Double Dragon, Galaga, and Dig Dug, all from the convenience of their Samsung Smart TV or monitor. Of course, the TV/monitor will have to be compatible with the platform to access these games. With that being said, Antstream Arcade is a subscription-based service, and is currently offering users 12 months of access for £12. Steve Cottam, CEO of Antstream Arcade states:

“Antstream Arcade delivers the best retro arcade video game streaming experience, and we’re proud to align with strong partners like Samsung Gaming Hub that can help us reach more players. We’ve experienced firsthand the excitement people have playing the games of their youth and sharing those games with the next generation of gamers.”

Antstream will also be hosting a Samsung global tournament with the classic platformer spin master, offering players a chance to win a lifetime subscription access to Antstream, as well as a prize draw to win one of three annual subscriptions. (you can know more at Anstream’s official website).

Blacknut

Meanwhile, Blacknut also offers players access to several gaming titles via a monthly subscription, which gets you access to more than 500 premium gaming titles. This also comes with five simultaneously accessible player profiles and a game library available on a variety of screens. Additionally, Blacknut’s gaming library also offers games for younger users, which is accessible through a pin-protected profile.

Blacknut says that it will include an exclusive deal for Samsung users via the Gaming Hub, giving new users a 15-day free trial to explore and play any of the 500+ gaming titles on select 2022 and 2023 Samsung TVs. Nabil Laredj, VP, Business Development & Licensing at Blacknut states:

“Blacknut is thrilled to partner with Samsung Gaming Hub and introduce our catalog to the popular game streaming platform. With over 500 games and options for everyone, we are excited to be able to bring cloud gaming to the whole family in a whole new way.”

The new partnership with Antstream and Blacknut means that Gaming Hub users now have access to over 3,000 games in total, in addition to currently available games from other partners such as Xbox, NVIDIA GeForce NOW, Amazon Luna, and Utomik.
