What's This?

There’s little doubt that Samsung’s Galaxy S-series devices are some of the best Android hardware available on the market, rivaling the likes of Apple’s own line of smartphones and tablets. That being said though, they’re usually on the more expensive side of things, which might not be too appealing for more practical buyers looking to save a bit of cash on their end.

This is where the company’s Galaxy “FE” range comes in. It’s meant to be a slightly more affordable alternative of sorts, mirroring devices in the S family with most of the same features, at a more accessible price. Samsung’s latest addition to the FE series comes with the new Tab S10 FE models, which were recently unveiled by the company following months of leaks and rumours. But what exactly do the new tablets come with?

The Galaxy Tab S10 FE is available in two different sizes, with an 10.9-inch S10 FE model and a slightly-larger 13.1-inch Tab S10 FE+ variant. Despite the SE moniker, they come with premium designs with aluminium unibodies, slimmed-down bezels, all of which pack more capable hardware compared to older models in the lineup. One thing to note though is that both models come with LCD displays, so you’re not getting AMOLED panels, unfortunately. There is IP68 dust and water resistance, which is a much-welcome addition.

Folks looking to get a tablet for productivity might want to know that the tablets also support S-Pen input, a major hardware highlight of Samsung’s tablet range. Similar to the flagship variants of the Tab S10 series, users can now charge the S-Pen simply by magnetically sticking them onto the rear panel of the tablets. There’s Android 15 inside along with Samsung’s One UI interface, which gives users access to exclusive apps and services, and even newer AI features from Google and Samsung.

Samsung has again decided to give its new tablets different chip configurations depending on where you’re buying them from. For WiFi variants you’re getting the Exynos 1380, and users who might want a bit of added 5G connectivity can get the tablets in a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 configuration. There are also different RAM and storage configurations starting with your usual 8GB and 128GB and 12GB + 256GB, and there’s room for a micro SD card for added storage space.

Both tablets also come with massive battery capacities, with the S10 FE running on an 8,000 mAh cell. Meanwhile the larger FE+ comes with a 10,090mAh, and you also get support for 45W charging speeds on both tablets. As for pricing, the Galaxy Tab S10 FE series starts at $449 for the most affordable base model, and comes in Mint, Gray, Lavender, and Silver colours.
