Aside from its impressive lineup of premium smartphones, tablets and smartwatches (to name a few), Samsung’s decades of experience with consumer electronics and home entertainment systems ranks among the top names within the industry – this covers everything from computer monitors, TVs, audio systems, and more. With that being said, if you’re in the UK and are looking for a new and capable upgrade to your home entertainment setup, then you might want to check out what Samsung has to offer.
More specifically, the company unveiled its latest TV and audio range for the UK market – the lineup boasts a list of great features across various price points, and consists of several smart TVs, soundbars, and the new Samsung Music Frame. Commenting on the launch, SW Yong, President and Head of the Visual Display Business at Samsung states:
“We’re pushing the boundaries of home entertainment by integrating AI in ways that go beyond traditional viewing experiences… This year’s line-up is a testament to our commitment to innovation, offering products that not only provide exceptional viewing experiences but also contribute meaningfully to our consumers’ lifestyles.”
New Samsung TVs
For TVs, Samsung’s new lineup includes the flagship Neo QLED 8K TV models (QN900D, QN800D) with AI-powered upscaling, priced starting at £4,999. A more affordable option is the 2024 Neo QLED 4K range (QN95D, QN93D, etc.) featuring innovations from the top tier, starting at £1,399. Finally, Samsung also introduced the world’s first Glare-Free OLED 4K TVs (S95D, S90D, etc.) starting at £2,499, eliminating reflections while maintaining picture quality.
As with a lot of Samsung smart and IoT products, the new TVs also come with support for the company’s ecosystem of products, and run on Samsung’s own Tizen OS.
Music Frame
Up next is a more unique inclusion in Samsung’s line of hardware, which the company simply calls the new “Music Frame.” Designed to look more like a minimalist interior design piece, the Music Frame combines capable audio performance with a rather subdued look. Starting at £499, the device lets you showcase personal photos or artwork while enjoying wireless sound and smart features. It can also work as both a standalone speaker, or as a complement to your TV and soundbar, without standing out too much like an obvious electronic device.
New Soundbar Models
Finally, Samsung rounds up its 2024 hardware lineup with its latest Q-Series Soundbar, the Q990D. Priced at £1,699, the new soundbar comes packed with a 11.1.4-channel setup with Wireless Dolby Atmos, and also features innovative technologies like Sound Grouping for room-filling sound and personal listening for private enjoyment through rear speakers.
On the other hand, folks after a more sleek design might want to check out the S800D and S700D soundbars, which likewise offer competent audio quality in a more compact package priced at £749. All Samsung soundbars come equipped with Q-Symphony, which can integrate with Samsung TVs for a more cinematic sound experience.
