Sony’s high-end audio products are among some of the most popular on the market, and for good reason. The Japanese electronics giant has not slowed down in engineering some of the best-sounding earphones, headphones, and speakers available for consumers, and it looks like we’ve gotten some new additions to Sony’s audio lineup.
With that being said, the company has made some big announcements today with the launch of its newest earbuds, the WF-C700N. Sony also unveiled a new colour variant for its 1000XM5 headphones, which are now available in a Midnight Blue version.
WF-C700N Earbuds
Sony says that the new WF-C700Ns are ideal for users who’d like to switch to wireless earbuds, and are after comfort, stability, and most importantly solid sound quality and noise cancelling features. The earbuds are designed to fit comfortably with varying ear sizes, based on extensive ear shape data compiled by Sony.
The earbuds are designed to remain ergonomic and comfortable for long periods of usage. The earbuds also come in a cylindrical case, which is rather compact with a unique geometrical pattern. The earbuds are available in different colours including black, white, lavender and sage.
The WF-C700Ns do come with noise cancelling as well as ambient sound mode, which uses the built-in feedforward mics. Users can access the Sony Headphones Connect app to customize the settings for the earbuds. The WF-C700N also come with Adaptive Sound Control that adjusts ambient sound settings, and can even recognize frequent locations that users visit, such as cafes, gyms, or workplaces.
Sony has also equipped the WF-C700N earbuds with its DSEE (Digital Sound Enhancement Engine), which works alongside the 5mm driver to bring out the best sound quality. Other features include up to 15 hours of battery life, which make the earbuds ideal for long commutes, plane trips, and such. There’s also IPX4 water resistance onboard, which makes the earbuds safe from accidental splashes, light rain, and workouts.
As for connectivity, the earbuds will come with multipoint connectivity, allowing them to be paired to two different Bluetooth devices at the same time – this means they will always be ready to connect to phone calls at any time. There’s also Wind Noise Reduction for clear phone calls.
