The Sony Xperia Z1 officially arrived at IFA yesterday and now we have news on an off-contract price for the UK, US and Europe. This is surprising considering the manufacturer normally waits until the phone is out on carriers, before discussing off contract pricing.
The Xperia Z1 is on Clove UK now for £564, a big jump in the price from the Xperia Z, currently at £450 off contract. Clove UK also notes that first stock shipments should be expected on September 16.
In Europe, the price is currently sitting at €650, although no carrier or off contract seller currently has it on the storefront. Germany should be one of the first countries to get the Xperia Z1, we will have to wait and see.
In the US, Negri Electronics has priced the Xperia Z1 at $730 off contract. Negri Electronics has been the first to sell top-tier smartphones off contract in the past and the stock date for the US is September 20.
The Xperia Z1 comes with a full HD screen, plastic-design with metal sides, Snapdragon 800 CPU, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, 20MP sensor with optical zoom, 3000mAh battery, LTE and Android 4.2.2.
In some markets it is rumoured the Smartwatch 2 will come free with the Xperia Z1 purchase, as an incentive to use the smartwatch.
